Things that are gone but you wish would come back....

I miss making a call and an *actual human* answering
Funnily enough I had that today. Yesterday I made a call , and the answer machine kept coming on...usual Guff.. leave your name and number we'll get back to you. Well I don't like to leave my number because it's usually a robot answering.. so I didn't..

Today my phone rang and it was a real person, she'd got my number from a missed call.. and called me back... that hasn't happened in a very long time

When we were looking for a new car, the salesman asked what we wanted. My first words was I want a stick shift. He apologized & said the model we wanted didn't come in a stick. Ford only makes a stick in the Mustang. Now, I would love to have a Mustang however I'd get into trouble I think 😁.

The clothes became a big pet peeve for my husband when he seen people come down to the Federal Court Building in flannel pajama pants & fuzzy slippers when he worked there.
I have a Ford fusion and it;s manual...

I have to say thus far in my area we have not seen anyone in the stores in their pyjamas.. but I've been in other areas where they are.. and it really disgusts me.. because they've clearly got out of bed, not got washed ..because if they had got washed they would have taken off the pyjamas.. and these unwashed people are touching the food

I miss Keith Moon because he was so unpredictable. He was hilarious too. You never knew what crazy thing he might do when you went to see the Who. :ROFLMAO:
Omigosh, @chic; you've actually seen The Who live when Keith was still here? I am soooo jealous!

When people were willing to stop what ever they were doing & help people at the spur of the moment when something happened.
I agree with your entire list, @Lilac, but this one jumped out at me. These days, when something happens, seems like people's first reaction is to whip out their phone and record it instead of trying to provide any sort of assistance.

Yes. I liked the Who very much but loved Keith. His face was so rubbery and devilish. He was a funny guy and an awesome drummer. It didn't cost so much to see rock groups back in the '70s.
I can only imagine how fantastic it must have been to see them live, especially with Keith. I saw the Who twice in 1989 and they were fantastic, but seeing them with Keith would have been so awesome. He was such a fantastic drummer. I'm not a musical expert, but his drumming just boggles my mind.

I can remember paying $3.50 to see groups like Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Janis and more.
This was up close and personal, not stadium seating.

My sister and I, both had hula hoops. If I tried using on now, I'd dislocate my spine.

Agree. Founding a new territory for those of us who lived without technology. The place will be called "Retro Lifestyles Territory". Please turn off your phones before entering.
I did a search on retro living and found this to be popular in England, not so much the USA.

I think I'd do well with one and would like to try but where do you buy hula hoops these days?
they're very popular currently having a resurgence here. Any toy shop or department should have them, if not..then online...

My sisters and I never had oour own, but we did get to use friend's Hoola Hoops....
