When things happen in threes.

A few days ago a Vegas acquaintance mentioned she had a health issue. I started thinking about her. She’s a vibrant person. She told of stories of Joan Rivers shows; Joan would call her by name and chat with her.

Yesterday I was listening to a podcast with a comedian who had been mentored by Joan Rivers and thought the world of her.

Today I tried on a blazer at a thrift store and the brand was Joan Rivers. It was meant to be. BTW, I have no idea what decade it’s from. It is in great condition and I like bright clothes so this suits me. It was only $10.


Does anyone else of stories of things that happened in threes?

There’s the idiom “third time’s a charm!” which lends itself to the idea of things happening in three’s or the third time of something is the winner, or the right one.

Three can be a crow… if someone’s left out.

I'm not so sure about this grouping of three. With a bit more effort we could often make it four or five. Synchronicity is fascinating though, as well as the debate of coincidence or not. I think there is something to it.

Yes! Is it wild coincidence or is it some sort of terrifying Fate rearing its ugly head?
When I experience two deaths or disasters of family members or friends, I'm alert for a third because we do hear and experience that bad things come in threes.
And incidents like the OP describes are very strange. Maybe we should sit up and pay attention.
I would not have bought that coat. Just in case it was a bad omen rather than a good one.
