Doctors don't see it like that though they keep tweaking medication but basically it's all downhill from here

Early disposable diapers.

I remember these from babysitting!

Same idea as old-fashioned cloth diapers, only no pins needed.

Vintage Baby Crib Blanket Holders.

Rings were placed around crib bars of railing, and the pins fastened to baby's blanket to help keep it in place.

I have some of these kicking around somewhere in all of the old baby stuff stored away in the basement.

What about rain bonnets?

Maybe I'm out of step with the times, but it's been ages since I've seen a woman strolling around with an old-fashioned plastic rain bonnet on.

Takes me back to the 70's.

Oh I remember those.. my Aunt even had one in a small case that she carried in her purse in case it happened to rain when she was out somewhere.

Also there were shower caps, which I could never understand- why take a shower without washing hair?

Some of my family members preferred to take baths- and then wash their hair in the kitchen sink!

Yes, yes, yes! I remember all!

Every mature woman had one of those little plastic rain bonnets in her purse, along with a personal package of Kleenex. Absolute staples of a woman's purse they were.

As for plastic shower caps, I remember back in the 70's, there wasn't a home around that I recall that didn't have a plastic shower cap hanging up in the bathroom. My mom used to sport one around the house when she'd pin-up her hair in curlers.

ROFLMAO, regarding people bathing, then washing their hair in the kitchen sink! I totally remember that!
