all of the above but aside from the phones and the internet ... I often comment on things we have today which my mother who died young in the early 70's would never have dreamed we'd have..

Simple things like remote control for the TV...

The ability to cook a dinner ( there was 6 of us at home)... in minutes, due to microwave technology...

..so many things...

Fear and great hesitancy when it comes to having unprotected sex with someone new. It's a sexual cesspool out there, now, with germs that may kill you. Years back, all you had to worry about was pregnancy and getting a few STD's that could be banished with a few shots/pills. I know that the deadly germs were present, even back then, but they hadn't reached the tipping point where they came into public awareness. Ignorance was, in fact, bliss.
