Thirty eight days after summer finished, (by the calendar) today's temp will reach 32C - 90F

I was outside watering the garden at 5am because yesterday I planted a dozen new Native Plants.
By the time I get home today the heat will have risen and I do not want the new plants to suffer heat stroke.
Have you ever considered installing a timed watering system? It's the only thing that kept my plants alive when I lived in Adelaide. I tend to kill plants, so, it was nice to have.
