This is a long shot....but I'll try (translation help)

On a recent trip to an antique shop here in New England, we came across this Christmas ornament.
We are collectors of many things, but are always intrigued by the what I call 'back story' to a certain piece I am interested in.
Where it originated, who was the artist, where were they from, what is their story, etc.

The picture appears to be from Poland (thought it was Russian at first), but can't seem to find the translation.
Can anyone here help with the translation?
It would be greatly appreciated!

I recognise one word "poccua" ...this is Italian for little. More precisely it is from the Corsican language which is very similar to Italian.
Maybe a doctor wrote it...the writing is quite difficult to read !
