This is my Happy Place

Our house is built around a courtyard so there is virtually no maintenance except trimming shrubs. We have multiple flower pots with "drips" so even watering isn't needed. It has taken years for the Japanese Yews, shrubs and Jasmine to fill in after a severe winter a few years ago, but now that they're back it's a great place to be.

I've posted a pic before but our landscaper just came back and planted new spring/summer flowers. We can see them from the master bedroom, the family room and the dining room. If I feel down I just look out the window or walk outside and marvel at what nature has made. This truly is my Happy Place.

Thanks! We were originally looking for a townhouse but our realtor found us a great stand-alone house with a front yard and courtyard. Best move we've ever made!

I remember you posted a picture of this a good while back, Doug.. and I think it's a perfect little space, and the fact it has my very favourite aroma, Jasmine, makes it just even better

Thank you. Yes, this is the old one. Everything has grown in. There was barely any Jasmine in those days. At least the passage of time brings some positive things!

We actually have a fountain closer to the door where I took the pic. It hasn't worked in some time but it is a good place for the birds to drink.

My happy place is a condo here in town which is not for sale (and Huzz refuses to move anyway) but I love to look at the pix of the place and I love the location (a walkable neighborhood), gives me something to daydream about.
