This is so sick

I can't stand critters being hurt because they unconditionally love us. I can actually tune out news stories where people get killed, but tell me something sad about an animal, let me at them.....
I bear peoples' infantilized slave animals no ill will, in fact I think its is sad that our society condones breeding innocent living creatures as toys and surrogate children.

I wonder if the empathy inversion demonstrated above toward human beings isn't an intended thing consciously fostered in the masses through social engineering?

I find this post quite bizarre. Wolfs gradually became domesticated and eventually man’s best friend and many are also working animals. A guide dog can provide a blind person with independence and it’s a win-win for both the dog and person.

Many pets provide a mutual loving experience for both species and bring joy to one another. Pets are not replacements for kids and I don’t know anyone that feels that way. We had dogs and cats growing up and 20 years ago I decided that I wanted a dog.

Yes we are breeding too many dogs and cats and sadly many are killed in shelters every day. It’s the reason I and others rescue animals instead of buying. Having a dog helps many people walk daily and especially for people that live alone the company is priceless. Both cats and dogs have saved people’s lives.

I’ll admit to just glancing at the news article, so my opinion isn’t based on knowledge. It’s a really rough area of Vancouver. The police said they are questioning many people. Bad things can and do happen anywhere. Just look at some puppy mills. It makes me sick. I won’t repeat the sick, sick stories. Some of these happen to little children too. What a world.
