Sometimes water would go down our bathroom sink normally, sometimes it would go down a bit slower when the water was running. It could be the same day. Yesterday morning, it was draining fine at first then started draining too slowly. Before my son left for the mosque, he tried the baking soda and vinegar trick. That seemed to have made it worse. At about 1/2 the sink full, the water just sat there. It took about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour for it to go down. He also tried our accordion style plunger, but that didn't work either.
After the mosque he stopped at Harbor Freight and picked up the gadget below, which I'd never heard of before. I was skeptical and told him he should have told me he was going to the store...I would have told him to get Green Goblin, which my BFF's plumber told her was great for unclogging drains a couple of weeks ago after he had to snake out one of her drains.
My son hadn't been in the bathroom but a minute and yelled for me to come see. I couldn't imagine what had happened. He was excited when he told me this gadget unclogged the drain in less than a minute. The water has been draining normally ever since, even while the water is still running. It only cost him $13 and saved us at least $75! It has two attachments, one I assume is for the toilet and a smaller one for sink drains.
