This weather's dangerous!!

Nashville has been hit with ice, snow, below freezing temps, and more snow and low temps today...depending on who you listen to, it's going to be anywhere from 3 - 12 inches!

Ron and I had a bunch of work lined up today, but we're both hunkering down at home, making progress on the kitchen and staying warm and safe.

Most Nashvillians just don't know how to safely drive on ice and snow. And right now, the roads and driveways have a 1" coating of snow OVER a solid sheet of ice! And the salting that gets done on the main roads and interstates doesn't make things much better. So we get situations like this one...a pic taken in my neighborhood (compliments of my neighborhood website) but it could be anywhere in Nashville because it's like this all over. Pictures coming in on facebook, through the local news, other internet groups.

Loss of power is also predicted here as the ice accumulates. Sure wish we had our fireplace installed already!!

I’m keeping all our devices on full charge so we can still get news and reports if we lose power and also stay in touch with the kids who are in a similar situation .. they all live close except for my first responder son in CA. Ron made sure there was fuel for the generator so we can run a heater if we have to. At least in these freezing conditions the food won’t spoil 😂
