I did not post this to start a pro or anti gun discussion. I feel this goes way past that. IMO there is a much deeper reason for concern here. Your thoughts? I picked the link above because I felt it had the most informative info pertaining to my concerns on this matter. Feel free to research the incident from other sources. As a matter of fact I suggest you do. Please disregard any political comments in the video. My only intention is to offer examples of the incident.

No one knows why the forms were taken, or why is the IRS as well as any other agencies were involved. I don't think there was enough information to form an opinion. The speaker speculated a lot, but he himself had no information, other than purchase information seemed to be the target. Why? I don't know. Keep us posted, because this doesn't sound like something that will be headlines outside of Great Falls, Montana, at least not yet.

A few things that concerns me is why is the IRS armed to the teeth and why did they confiscate the shops 4473 (background check) forms. A filled out 4473 form has no financial information whatsoever on it. Below is another link that may be of interest.

I don't know, but I would suspect from the type of information they sought that they're not looking for financial information, but for who bought what.

Added: from the letter from Congressman Matt Rosendale to ATF Director Steven Dettelbach and IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel linked to above by @oldpop:

During my visit to Highwood Creek Outfitters, I learned that the IRS confiscated all the 4473 forms from the store. This means that the sensitive personal information of any customer ever to purchase a firearm at Highwood Creek Outfitters is now in the hands of the IRS. These background check forms include no financial information, and there is no discernable reason why the IRS would need these forms. The IRS committed an egregious breach of privacy for Montana’s gun owners, and I am outraged that the agents involved showed no regard for federal law. Although there are still some murky details regarding the events at Highwood Creek Outfitters. There is no circumstance in which 4473’s would be necessary in an investigation spearheaded by the IRS.

It seems here is not much being said about this in the main stream news....

Form 4473 is an ATF form and is property of the US Government that is used to perform a background check and is required to be stored by the FFL so the forms could be accessed at any time. I filled one out Saturday when I purchased a weapon. This is much ado about nothing. The faux rage and culture wars continue.

Okay. Is there a reason why the IRS and ATF would go there fully armed in order to obtain the forms?

Not sure it's "faux rage" or rage at all, but you can say so.

Yep, too little real information to say much, other than the IRS was able to convince a judge that they have enough evidence for a search warrant, that's the way our system works. Maybe the IRS wanted the Form 4473s to compare to gun sales accounting, looking for unreported income? Just a guess I don't know.

The IRS and other government agencies conduct a lot of raids and investigations for many reasons. I think it is good to watch them, helps reduce abuse, but getting all the facts before expressing opinions is also important. Unbiased watchdogging is needed.

Oh I feel so sorry for them. They sell AR 15's and AK 47's. I'm glad that they were raided. Take away those guns while you are about it. Maybe you can save the lives of both American children and adults. They sell guns that are meant to hunt one species only, humans.
