Threads That POSSIBLY Shouldn't Be Done

Something I see somewhat frequently are people coming into a thread just to say they aren't interested.

Not interested in the Royal Wedding? Fine - don't come into the thread.
Not interested in basketball, football, baseball, hockey, etc. ? Fine - don't come into the thread to announce your lack of interest.
Never watched Seinfeld? Fine- stay out of the thread.

And just because the thread title asks a question doesn't mean you're obligated to click and comment that you don't know and couldn't care less. Move on.

I’d like to agree with that…but;

Some threads/OPs beg for a reply.
At least they do to me.
I mean if only those that agreed submitted a post, it would seem every senior here would be in agreement.
And
An opposing view, at times, can stimulate some pretty interesting conversation.
….without being crass and obnoxious

Nutshell, I’m not for any form of censorship.
An individual should be able to express themselves, no matter their slant on things.

It’s good to know who yer talking to.

Gary, I'm not, in any sense, saying that only people who agree should participate in a discussion. I don't know how you got the idea that I was saying that or what that has to do with censorship. What I'm saying is that it's annoying and frankly a stupid waste of time and screen space to click on a thread topic and post "I'm not interested".

Of course, there are people who feel they have to post in every thread...maybe they're bored, maybe they want to increase their post count, maybe they mistakenly feel others are interested in their lack of interest. I don't know. But common sense would say to just move on.

Do those people walk into stores and restaurants and announce that they don't want to shop or eat there? Wouldn't surprise me.

I get it, AC, and agree to that standpoint
