It's a big country (the US) with a lot of people. The likelihood of shootings is much higher. Then you have the media who are starving for news because they have to create the illusion that they're needed 24-7. The media now reports from all over the world as if we really need to know news from areas not within our immediate scope of influence.

I agree...Our local news reports contain more then local news!!
