Thrift Store Finds- Unique, Bizarre and Pretty Nice

I have the base to my Grandma's treadle that I learned to sew on. Mom got rid of the top (she didn't sew) & turned it into a table, but I always wanted to replace it. My daughter this one for me at a local thrift store, still had the attachments & sewing guide with it. I had it cleaned & it works great! Looks very similar to this one:

I actually learned to sew on a treadle machine. My school home-craft class only had access to about 3 or 4 Electric sewing machines ( late 60's).. and the rest were treadle .. so those of us who weren't very good at sewing, got the treadle machines
