Thumb "pops"?

I just noticed a couple of days ago that my right thumb catches at the joint as I bend it. It sort of snaps or pops when I bend it down toward my palm, and also does it when I straighten it back up and out. There's no pain at all, just that weird quiet pop as the thump joint jumps at a certain spot when I flex it. When I did a search online, all I could find was something called "trigger finger" or "trigger thumb" which came with pain involved. There's no discomfort at all. Anyone have any info about this?

I don't have any info, but I have trigger finger on 3 different fingers. The left hand, middle finger is the worst and it does hurt. The 2 fingers on my right hand aren't bad, and as the morning progresses they improve and don't hurt at all. Don't know what causes it, although I have Dupuytren's affecting my right hand.
