Thunderstorm raging right now in Perth

Never ending over there. Imagine, 4mm, 1/64 of an inch over 57 days.
oh we've had that in the past, we've gone 6 months without any rain here in the South/east and East of England... .. but this rain is something we just never get here in the volume we've had it the last 2 months. This is the driest area of the UK.. so it's been a bit of a horror show with this great amount of rain...

Thankfully we had a beautiful dry day yesterday and today... back to Spring like temperatures, hopefully it will mean a nice dry summer now...

The thunderstorm lightning struck three people, a 70-year-old man was struck and is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

A Perth teenager has described the terrifying moment she was injured by a lightning strike on a school tennis court, saying she felt her "spine vibrate" after a bolt hit a nearby basketball hoop and ricocheted into her and a friend.

A house was struck by lightning and caught fire.
Mandurah, Yanchep and Thornlie-Cockburn train lines were closed when signal boxes were damaged by lightning strikes.
A maximum of 4mm accompanied the storm.

We didn't get a drop at 6030, I rode to work in East Perth, the roads were wet and there are puddles in the car park. I guess the showers were quite localised. There was a lot of thunder around 4.00 AM

The storm came in off the ocean in a north westerly direction.
Plenty of loud thunder in Yokine at 8.30am.
