Tik Tok users overwhelm Congressional phones.

Well, talk about a goof! Tik Tok gave its users an easy way to call their Congressional representaves to object to restrictions on Tick Tock and overwhelmed the phones lines. They demonstrated exactly what some fear about a popular app that is controlled by an autocratic foreign interests. It can be used to interfere with things like communications and who knows what.

  • After asking users to enter their ZIP code, TikTok then directed them to call their representative in Congress to let them "know what TikTok means to you and tell them to vote NO."
  • "Phones are completely bogged down hearing from students, young adults, adults, and business owners who are all concerned at the option of losing their access to the platform," a senior GOP aide told Axios' Juliegrace Brufke.

Nice work Tic Tok, proving your critics right.

Saldy banning Tik-Tok will be like taking a 2 pack a day smoker's cigarettes away. But they will react like a junky who had their crack pipe knocked out of their hand right before they inhale.

What they want is for Tik-Tok to be sold off to a US company where it can be controlled more.

Either way tell a kid in particular no and they will still try to do it and they'll be all sorts of tricks, downloads etc to get on it.

Why is it "bad" for citizens to discuss a concern about upcoming legislation with their congressman?
Is it "bad", when religious leaders advise their congregations on how to vote in an election?
So, is it "bad" when Tik Tok advises users to discuss concerns with their congressman?
