TikTok Retirement - Very insightful

Don't know how many of you are on TikTok but if you want to hear some great retirement advise, follow @jdawgretires.

She is a somewhat newly retired person (I'm thinking 2 years) and talks about all the different aspects of adjusting to retirement, the ups and downs, and how to adapt to the new life phase that most people are not prepared for.

Check it out.....very insightful

Am not a Tik Tok member and may be missing something for it. My immediate visual impression was that if THAT woman is retired she will soon be back to work or doing something like work. The rocking chair and bone creeks are decades away for her. So, just that makes relating to what many would call retirement age would be very unlikely. At mid 70's or later I might give her my time. But, we've nothing in common as retirees, at this time.

I adjusted to retirement instantly. No alarm clocks. Travelling with no set deadlines. Downsized our home. Always busy.
It took me a couple years to adjust. I'd run out of things to do and then I'd get really bored. Problem was, I still felt competitive...like when I was working. I didn't need more things to do, I just needed to do what I do a little slower. Once I figured out there's no rush, I really started enjoying retirement.

I think I was pretty prepared for retirement. One thing I was pleasantly surprised by was how much tension rolled of my body.
I stay busy but like now, I have a cold, so I can snuggle up and rest.

Isn't Tik Tok a Chinese spy tool?
No, FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram are spy tools.
The only reason we are being told TikTok is bad is because the special interest groups of FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram that pay politicans are complaining that TikTok is taking away advertising dollars from them. So they push on politicians to try and block TikTok so advertising dollars come back to them, after all they are paying for that influence.

Its not happenstance that when you discuss something in your home, you start seeing advertisements online with FB, Instagram, Google, etc. If that isn't spying, I don't know what is.

I think they're all spy tools. It's just which spy we choose to let in.
Sorry BTW. I didn't intend to hijack the thread. It's a good one.

I suspected people would be skeptical of TikTok because of all the fabricated media hype.
Personally, I love TikTok. I have learned so much from TikTok on simple day to day living topics.
No need to apologize. Healthy dialog.
