Time is right for a completely new music post

Doo-wop is a style of music made popular by Black vocal groups in the 1950s that showcased vocal group harmonies and catchy rhythms.

Not so at all. Doo wop groups were both African American and Italian American. I don't know why, but that's how it was. In New York City in the 1970's and 1980's, there was 2 different series of doo wop concerts. Richard Nader's Original Doo Wop at the Garden (Madison Square Garden), and the Royal New York Doo Wop Show (Radio City Music Hall).

All the groups were either black or white with Italian ancestry. All of us in the audience, were both black and white. We loved the music, no matter who was singing and what they looked like.
