Since you found my joke to be "unfunny," I removed it. However, if you knew my mother-in-law, you would understand. And by the way, considering all horrible the ways a person can die slowly, yes...I would prefer that it happens to me.Sorry, not funny to me. Too close to home. Hope it never happens to you.
I live with late effects CVA everyday. First you have to learn how to swallow, eat even though you don't want to. Deal with being partially paralyzed on one side for the rest of your life. Taking that first step with pain from taking it. Four therapies each day so painful you have to take a pain pill before they start them. First time in my life I ever had to take them and am thankful I tried to get through the pain without them. A massive stroke stays with you for the rest of your life affecting your heart, lungs and kidneys. I was very blessed to have great family support, fantastic OT, PT, Speech therapies, etc. They helped make me able to go back to work full time after 3 years of constant therapy. I was blest that my mind was spared so that I can still do part time accounting at home. now. I do apologize for being so sensitive right now. I had just received some test results from the kidney doctor and the late effects cva issue comes around again. Please do not feel sorry for me as I am blest to be able to live by myself and take care of myself. My sister and brother say its the Rond gene as we are tough folks. I want to die quickly with a heart attack or something. This slowly dying is not for me but that's what is happening.Since you found my joke to be "unfunny," I removed it.
