Hi! I'm a married (59 years!) old guy (78) from the interior of B.C. Canada. We live in a small town of 10,000 surrounded by forested wilderness so we have a lot of animal neighbours that wander by regularly. We own a modern mobile home with a large addition in a very nice senior mobile home park. Deer are frequent visitors eating the crab apples off the decorative crab apple trees in the median of the park. Occasionally we have black bears wander through the park so we all keep our garbage inside until garbage pickup day. Last spring, I still had a bird feeder up and I spotted a young bear flat on the ground under our kitchen window. He was licking up the spilled sunflower seeds under the feeder. They can be dangerous so I grabbed my car fob and pressed the panic button. He took off like a shot and it alerted the neighbours as to his presence.

Welcome from Scotland, TT! Sounds like you live a contented life. Interesting user name. :)

Greetings from Massachusetts. No bears in my neck of the woods, but the squirrels certainly enjoy what spills from my bird feeders.

Welcome Timetrvir, I would come across bears and other critters when I used to work in the foothills. I was amazed just how fast they could go through the buckbrush.

Have fun and enjoy the forums.

Hello from New Jersey. It sounds like you live in a beautiful area. We have exactly one bear who has roamed around our area for the last ten years. He leaves us alone and we leave him alone.

Well, I would like to start a photo album here too if I could figure out how. I've spent a lot of time lately trying to learn how to get my photos from Google Photos to here. I'm getting there slowly. I've got an album ready now but I don't know how to post it here. In the meantime, here is a photo of our home. We like it very much because it suits our needs perfectly.
