Tips for you married women

The article reminded me of two things from my childhood!

"Wait till your father gets home!" - Sure make dad the bad guy the minute he walks in the door, LOL!

"Don't get your father started!" - This one was often followed by the look!

Funny the things that make an impression on you when you are growing up.
 
Well for just in case I were to consider marriage again, always good to know these things. According to those instructions, the woman is super duper busy that last half hour or so. Disappointing they could not find more last minute things to do!. Where is that damn ribbon for my freshly shampooed and curled hair? Hahaha. No really, I'm not sure I could have bought into that, though I do recall those days. My mother had to do all that plus work eight hours in a sweat shop, can you imagine? Thanks for sharing this as a reminder to some of the younger gals that were born a little after this era.

My wife said that there was not enough time in the day to get all her work done, so I set her alarm one hour earlier!! The doctor said my swelling will gone down in a day or two..
 
Pappy, all it takes is a bottle of ketchup. Who knew? :)

I'm heading to the grocery store to stock up now.

Great post Pappy! Sounds reasonable to me. I bet the divorce rate was low in those days.

That was very true for the fifties and sixties. More women were homemakers. Times changed and more had to work to help support a family.
 
I completely agree with the chart and think it should be republished, along with one that shows him working 3 jobs to keep me in chocolates , bringing flowers home every night, allowing Mother to live with us , stopping drinking, handing his pay packets over unopened on Fridays and be extremely appreciative for the personal cash he is given back.

Great system, should be brought back and taught in high school. It worked very well for me . Sad that it fizzled out really, but that was because when equality was introduced, my husband , like most others just couldn't deal with it when he got it bless him
