Voted early. When I heard of the 1.5 hr lineups, we tried Easter Sunday at dinner time (~6 pm). No lines. Even an hour earlier it was busy.

Polls opened here this morning at 8am, but circumstances prevented us from getting to ours until 9:30. By then, the line was such that it was nearly a half hour until I got my ballot and voted. But we can say, proudly, we did it.

Here in Oz., we will be having our elections on Saturday 3rd May. I did an early postal vote, so I don't need to stand in long queues for any length of time.

I love the U.K, but consider Canada to be a great neighbor and friend. Which is why I was horrified when a certain person made that statement about the 51st state. Whoever you will elect, it will be someone much better.

Two out of the 3 national party leaders were NOT elected in their own districts, which very much "sends a massage ". The vote count was suspended late last night, so some of the districts are still hand counting, as of 9 AM this morning. It looks like a minority Government will happen. JIM.
