Today is the Solstice.

It is all downhill to Spring here now, sadly for
the Southern Hemisphere it is all going in the
opposite direction.

That must have been mindboggling to the ancients. Knowing that on this day, way in the future, the sun will be here, and it will mark the shortest day. It was like peering into the wisdom of the gods.
