Toilet in New House

This is a new one on me...one of the toilets doesn't have a traditional handle on the tank. It a knob on the top of the lid. I already found out to work it, I have to lift the knob, but I don't know how long to do it or how I get the lid off with that knob there.

I presume you lift the knob up, then push it down to flush?
Twisting the knob probably allows the lid to be removed.

Wow, I didn't know such a flush mechanism existed. I found a YouTube, but it looks like probably a much older type so maybe it doesn't work the same for your toilet.

I've seen those in public restrooms,, never gave them much thought.

Lots of luck with it if the innards break.

Son has mentioned that he would like a new house toilet that has a floor /foot pedal flush on it.
His RV has one.

I don’t understand…do you pull the knob up to flush? I’ve seen toilets with push buttons on the lid but nothing like this.

TBH, I hate changes in traditional flushing knobs. Change for the sake of change.

I would like a one piece toilet that doesn’t have all the bends to clean around.
