Too close!!!!! (tornado)

I never really cared much for flying in the DFW area in the spring, especially in the late afternoon and evenings. Really never knew what to expect when we would see black clouds on the horizon and the radar on-board the aircraft showed large green echoes. Reading radar is imperative for pilots. We have to be better than the weatherman.

We had a couple of similar Close Calls, years ago when we lived in Wichita, KS., for about 4 years. We were really glad when we got transferred out of that area....it seemed that we had to dive into the storm shelter at least a half dozen times every Spring....hoping that there would still be a house standing when we came back up.
