Silly me I saw a post for a Macbook Air being given away because a couple had a dispute, indicating it was brand new. I thought it would be nice to have a deal on that type of laptop. I offered $100. I'm not up to speed on sending money electronically other than paying my bills. I think I was biting on the bait for a scam
The other party was giving me info about how to do it, so I did a test run with the amount of $1, and got an immediate pop up alert that the destination information was suspected fraud. I teased the online conversation until I grew tired of the persistence of the other party. Finally, I told them in a text that this old coot wasn't ready to get scammed. I added that they could return it to Apple for a refund or trade it in for more than the $100 they were trying to get from me.
I just wonder how much energy people waste just trying to cheat others. Don't know about you but I wasn't raised like that.
