Too soon for Christmas music?

I worked in an office right above a loudspeaker playing Christmas carols all day long in a downtown area.

We used to make up our own words and sing them after being bored to death. I still remember one.

Hark the herald angels sing. Murphys pills are just the thing. Sinners must be meek and mild. Two for an adult one for a child.

I could sleep thru the whole season.

As a kid and into later years loved the season, but could care less. My attitude started about 15 yrs ago at least and I'm 80...

If there is no kids around it's not worth the effort.

I always used to go to my sister's house on Christmas morning to be with her four kids.

I took pictures and they insist I show them every now and then. In those days it was slides. I don't even know if I have a slide projector anymore.

I'm with your husband. I'm not a sappy romance type, in books or movies.
Hallmark takes away programs I like to watch for two months.

And I believe that Christmas music should be confined to Christmas week.
Otherwise, it gets meaningless.
I’ll ship him over then

We're all about Christmas here, have you seen my video of last Christmas? and I might add we live in SW FL. and hubby is 81 in Dec. and I am 74 will be 75 in 2019.

Wow Aputernut. You’re 74 and your husband is 81 and you two put up all those lights???
Thats truly incredible ! Seriously. Good for you. You put us ALL to shame.
Your light display is ‘over the top’ spectacular. Thanks for showing us.

Not at all Rose, our elec. bill is very good a little higher for one month (much of our xmas display has been changed over to LED's) but the rest of the year it is terrific since our home is super energy efficient as is all appliances even our newer unit. AC and our home is 2800 sq. ft.

Well, that's good to know! :)

Speaking of Elvis and Xmas songs......the version of Blue Christmas being sung by Porky Pig always makes me chuckle.

Listen to the guy laughing in the background he's having a hard time keeping it together. :)

When do you plan on telling him?

Aputernut17 .. good to see such Christmas spirit - really enjoyed your video! I've always loved Xmas, and have passed that on to my daughter who is now 35.

As for Xmas music, I don't mind it, but if I heard it 24/7 a month before Xmas, it might annoy me ;-)

I love that one!

Yesterday, one of the local radio stations here in Buffalo decided to start playing Christmas music 24/7. Their decision was based on a viewer poll
When I heard this on the news,I thought to myself'OMG,,this is way too soon
The more reasonable date would be at the end of this month
What do you think? Sue

Too soon for Christmas music?

Let 'er rip, or ring

when the shop saws are runnin' I can't hear a dang thing
