Took a fall yesterday...in my living room

Landed between bookshelf and TV. Cracked my forehead against bookshelf and landed with back against corner of TV stand.
Did NOT have my medical alert button on me, but luckily my landline phone was on top of bookshelf. Was a bit of a stretch to get it, but got reciever and called 911.
Bruised up my left arm and my fac around left eye,
I chise not to go in to hosp. Because of angle of landing, and the fact I am a bit plus sized, they had a bit of trouble helping me up. Ended up getting a sheet, sling it around my lower back and yanked. Got up. Very sore today

@Marie5656 , Oh my gosh, you really banged yourself up good. I'm glad you were able to get your phone and dial up 911. My wife took a fall 2 weeks ago, gashed her head where her eyeglass frames got her, plus bruised a knee. I bought her a smart watch that she can use to call me, her daughter or 911 in case she takes another fall when I'm not here. I'm buying a couple of items she can use to get up off the floor with:

Marie, I'm glad it wasn't worse than it was and you were able to reach your phone. Hope you heal quickly and you're not in too much pain. Please be careful and give yourself a lot of TLC. 💙

I refused trip to ER as I did not feel it was needed (cue stubborn old lady) . Nothing broken, EMT cleaned it up, and no heavy bleeding or sign of anything broken.
I have been sleeping in my recliner a lot lately as more comfortable for me and arthritis. My recliner is one of those motorized ones...auto recline and push of remote attached to chair.
Been having issues with joint in right shoulder...bon on bone. Getting cortisone shots...next one in a month. Again, sleeping in chair is more comfortable for me
