Every 2 - 4 weeks. I use lots of floss and something called a proxabrush. I'm extremely conscientious about my dental health. I have all my teeth (except wisdoms), had lots of work done (lots of crowns) and I get cleanings every 6 months.

Every three months.......as advised.

I have several that I use off and on, so they hardly ever wear out. Besides, my dentist gives me a new one every time I visit him; every 6 months,
or as required. I use those little plastic "flossers" after I eat anything. Easier than the long string type of floss.

IF and/or when a tooth (teeth) brush wears out, it goes out into the garage workshop. Great for cleaning small parts.

I use a new toothbrush about every 6 to 8 weeks..even tho' the bristles on the old one aren't splayed.. I buy about a dozen toothbrushes at a time so there's always a new one in the cabinet whenever I need one. I used to use an electric toothbrush years ago, but I just got out of the habit.

Like you Falcon I also use the little plastic filament flossing brushes..so much easier to use than floss string I absolutely agree..

Now that I've gotten older, I take better care of my teeth. I use two brushes; one for toothpaste and another for Act to try and prevent cavities. For Act to be the most effective, I brush with it and then rinse with it.

I'm like Cookie, I change it when I get bored with it and want a new color, mine never really show much wear. I floss with Glide string floss and use proxa brushes too, but not every day. I rinse either with Listerine or Hydrogen Peroxide sometimes.

I use an electric toothbrush, but more importantly,I use an Ultra Water Flosser by Waterpik. I cannot live without it. Ever since I started using it,my dental checkups have been awesome. My gums look awesome (so they say) and I love how my mouth feels. That being said, there are issues with it (I`m on my third one). I Googled it and I`m not alone-they burn out after not too long. I`m now using a suggestion I read about to prevent that from happening-we`ll see if it works. I saved my receipt this time though, just in case....

Both my wife and I are very careful about our oral health, and we both still have our own teeth. We brush 2-3 times daily and replace our toothbrushes every 4-6 weeks.

My dentist gives me an extremely soft toothbrush with tapered bristles instead of rounded ones. Very gentle on my gums and gently penetrate between the gum line and teeth to remove hidden food particles and plaque. Almost as good as flossing. After this I would never use an electric toothbrush again with harder bristles. Now I get them online for all my family and friends from plumasoft.

When I remember to. That could be 6 mos. or a year or much less than a year. They cost so little so when I see them on sale especially I get 2 or 3 at a time.

When the bristles of the toothbrush tend to fray out, then it is a good time to replace it. I usually change after three months. However, anytime you have any virus like strep throat, infection etc you have to replace your tooth brush to avoid some recurring illnesses. And make sure toothbrush should be of soft bristle. Don't use a hard or medium bristle toothbrush. This can be harmful to your teeth.
