Trash not picked up today

It's usually picked up between 6 and 7:30 am. It is now almost 2:30 pm. Of course calling doesn't do any good. I was told to leave the bins out until 6pm. And then what? Snow storm coming tomorrow, so if it isn't gone today, probably won't be tomorrow, either.

This happens here sometimes... when it does, they pick up later that night or in the morning. Last week they totally missed my can and I had to contact them. They asked if I could wait until the following week and I gave the equivalent of "heck, no!" so they made an extra trip to get it two days later. Wasn't my fault! :giggle: Oh, I've heard mine won't pick up if things aren't in bags or sitting on the ground, by the way.

It happens sometimes and I don't really notice or let it bother me. If it lasts too long, I just take it to a nearby dumpster.
Unless you own that dumpster or have permission to use it, that is considered theft of services. Those who rented that dumpster didn't pay for public usage.

It happened again this week - the recycle bin wasn't emptied. I waited until 3:30 pm and called the trash company. I couldn't understand a word the agent said - it was something about substitute service and to leave the bin out and it would be picked up by 6 pm. That didn't happen. I called them again just now and was told they didn't get to finish their rounds yesterday and to leave the bin out and it would be picked up today. Wanna bet? Sometime I get the impression they don't know what's going on with their trucks.

Back when I had a dumpster I caught a guy red-handed putting trash in my dumpster. Not just a bag of trash, but he filled my dumpster over half way with junk he cleared out of his rental that had been vacated. I told him to get his trash our of my dumpster, he handed me a $20 dollar bill, and I accepted it and let his trash stay.

I probably wasn't the only one that called them. I saw the recycle bins of my neighbors who use this company were also left out. Makes the area look trashy. After both bins are emptied, I go right out and put them back in the garage so they aren't an eyesore.
