The film, Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall, is directed by two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Bob Smeaton (The Beatles Anthology and Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies) and narrated by Academy Award®-winning actor Jeff Bridges. It takes viewers from the band’s earliest years together in El Cerrito, Calif., through their meteoric rise to fame. Featuring a wealth of unseen footage, Travelin’ Band culminates with the band’s show at the Royal Albert Hall—marking the only concert footage of the original CCR lineup to be released in its entirety. The film was made available for streaming on Netflix on Sept. 16, the day the album was released.

Damn. Now I wish I had Netflix.

My second favorite band of all time!

I remember before I ever heard of them, the radio was always Winchester Cathedral, but without introducing the the song. It was one of those songs that took up an entire side of a 33rpm long play record. I was captivated by that song, and I kept wondering, "Who are these guys?" When I finally found out who they were, I would just wait around for their next album, and be there to buy it the moment it was released.

Yikes! I just looked it up. It wasn't Creedence Clearwater at all. Well, that was 55 years ago. But I did buy all of the Revival's albums.

Their lyrics are a regular part of our lives, just yesterday I heard my son singing to our old dog, "You better hidey hidey hide, you better jump and run away..."

Many years ago, the band played at an event at Universal Studios here in Orlando, after John Fogerty had left. At that time, they were calling themselves "Creedence Clearwater Revisited" and still a good band but lacked the signature "grittiness" that was their hallmark with Fogerty.

The original CCR remains my favorite band of the early 70's.....maybe all time.....

One of my favorite 2 sided hits on 45rpm records that I bought years ago, was by the Creedence Clearwater Revival.
A side Bad Moon Rising
B side Lodi (pronounced low die) I bought it for the A side, but after awhile, I grew to like the B side more. I totally wore that record out.

That was solo Fogerty after CCR broke up. I believe he played every instrument on that album. He was a bit of a control freak.
