Yesterday I went to town to pick up the mail at the PO and go to the grocery store. I got on to the main highway through town, which had a repaving project in-progress. But for a stretch it was smooth sailing, traffic was running the usual 70 mph(15 miles over the speed limit). There was a large front loader tractor along the right shoulder doing something. I glanced in it's direction to see what was going on. A moment later an alert from the Toyota Safety Sense™ P forward radar sensor got my attention, the traffic in front of me was at a dead stop, but I was still going...fast. I stepped on the brakes hard, slide a bit to the right, but stopped before hitting the car in front of me.
Had it not been for the radar safety alert, I would have likely been seriously injured or killed, along with the occupants of the cars in front of me. I would have been 'at fault'...
