True if it is obviously a domesticated animal. False if a wild animal. I'd like to help them, but could cause them more distress and they would likely bite or otherwise injure a well-meaning person. In fact I saw a squirrel hit by a car on my way back from urgent care. I thought for sure it has been killed, but it rolled over a few times and limped away into the bushes. I felt so bad, but what can you do? I was even more angry at the driver who didn't slow down one bit.
