I love learning about it though, and somewhere along the way, I picked up the habit of spelling with that U on occasion. Probably from my grandmother

When I lived in Elgin IL. a neighbour phoned me and asked "are you all going to visit with us for thanksgiving ?"
I asked him what sort of thanksgiving they were planning
He replied "oh just a traditional one"
I replied "Traditional eh ...is that where you invite all the neighbours round to your place...feed em...kill em...and then steal all their land and property ?"
He replied " I take it from that you won't be coming then ?" DUH !
