My original post was to be about the venues that we have been to, our traditional Christmas meal and what we have planned for new year's eve. Then, catching sight of the Christmas Alone thread, I read Rosemary's post: "I don't even have any cousins. I'm in Los Angeles, age 74. I'd love to meet others in the same boat. Thanks."
That simple message that gave the impression of being lonely, made me feel uncomfortable. it humbled me. I deleted my post, it looked too much like boasting. Of all the gifts, nothing can hold a candle to being loved, I treasure my wife and I am grateful for the real friends in our social circle, how very fortunate I am.
