Trying to be careful with pills.

Loading my weeks worth of pills in the daily slots in the boxes and being careful to only load one BP pill in at a time.
Taking two BP pills by accident can be dangerous and if it ever happens to you be sure and have salt handy to help raise your BP again.
I figured out this morning to load the critical pills into the boxes first so that it will be easier to see if I made a mistake and added an extra.
Harder to tell once the rest of the pills are in the slots.
Do you have another system that you use to help keep your pills in order?

I do not use one of those daily pill organizers. I do have a simple but strict routine that keeps me honest in taking them. Works for me.

The one thing I do have a problem with is several of these pills are very small. I stand at the kitchen counter and place them one by one into the palm of my hand, then pop them all into my mouth at once. Now and then, one will escape and fall onto the floor, whereby I will spend however much time it takes to find it because I am afraid my dogs may eat it. I thought keeping my hand and med container over the counter top would fix that. Nope. One may drop onto the counter and end up on the floor somewhere. Now, I hold it over the sink.

No.

I use a 7day morning and night pill box from the $tore.

I have to be careful that pills don’t bounce into the wrong slots and I also have to be careful not to mix up the am/pm covers when I fill them.

The only trick I have is to contain spills when I accidentally knock over a bottle of pills. Put down a towel under the pill box and if a bottle spills the pills will not scatter on the towel as much as they would on a bare surface.

My father used to have us set his pills out in shot glasses, he had a lot of shot glasses! 😉🤭😂

First I put a week’s worth of BP meds in my nightstand and then I set out my pill on it when I go to bed. It‘s a sure fire way of me knowing whether I took it or not. I’ve very rarely had a week when there was one extra pill left.

My eye drops are lined up in the order they’ll be taken. Once done, that drop moves to the back of the line. Those are in the bathroom.

There’s a mid morning drop that is set out separately and stored in the fridge. I’ve trained myself to use the second drop around 10 PM.

A similar lineup in the kitchen. A small daily container for pills that have to be taken with food. Once taken, the container moves to the back of the line and the small dish with vitamins exchanges places, etc.

I used to use my phone alarm and still do when travelling.

If you take a lot of pills have you considered Pillpack.
I looked into it for the husband but they kept changing his meds so it didnt work for us.
His insurance/medicare would have paid.

I keep my vitamins in shot glasses too. Theyre marked with the day of the week.
Its a good thing I dont need to take anything. Im very forgetful.
The only pill I ever remembered to take was my estrogen. I had a complete hysterectomy in my 20's.
If I forgot to take it I would have some serious hot flashes. That will make you sit up and take notice. :D

Shot glasses.

I take my meds 3X a day. I set them up every evening right after I take the last dose. Three shot glasses; one for morning, afternoon, and evening; and I line them up in a little row: left to right, morning to night.

Each one's different because I drop my vitamins in the morning glass, ginseng and magnesium pills in the afternoon glass, and only pain pills go in the evening glass.

Bottoms up! 😊

Mine are in 7 day boxes and one evening and the other morning.
Missed them the other morning and didn’t notice until evening so that morning dose will be ready for next week.
I like the shot glass idea for critical pills.
Lot of good ideas.

Take approximately 15 different meds per day. All lined up, in order, in a box. Don't use the pill boxes. I'm into my routine by now.
