Trying to squeeze out more ads on TV?

Have you noticed the attempt to squeeze more ads into TV programs. One is just to add more ads to the program. A 60 minute programs, now runs 62 or 63 minutes. Then there's the 'crawl', that's the line of type that scrolls across the bottom of the screen. Then there's the 'insert', a small inset in the right/left bottom corner. Yeah, ads pay for the program, but it's getting ridiculous. Even with the so called ad free pay channels, there's promos for coming shows.

Those scrolling ads are annoying. I try not to look but the eye is drawn to them.
Television companies make huge profits and are never satisfied, they always want more.
They will always say that it is the share holders who demand a better return on their investment so the public has a part in this as well.
The advertising companies also want to make more money, the companies represented in the ads want to make more money, everyone wants to make more money.
Television reaches a huge, diverse audience and I can envision more and more ads.
I get really peeved when some shows have a 2 - 3 minute story, after coming back from ads then go to more ads.
I wrote to one TV company to complain about this but never got a satisfactory reply - "We will pass your concerns onto the relevant department..."
Greed is the driving factor
