Tunes that kind of creeped you out, but.......

Each time I hear this song, it reminds me of the movie, "Christine." Who hasn't seen that movie? The song, "Bad To the Bone" is written and sung by George Thorogood and his Delaware Destroyers, or now they are just known as the "Destroyers."

This is really one bad-ass song.

It's interesting to read about what tunes have creeped out my fellow members. For some, "normal" tunes (to me) get the creeped out treatment because of their associations with events, movies, etc. I always felt that there was an intrinsic creepiness value to tunes: Tunes either had it, or they didn't. Now, I've been enlightened. Thanks, y'all!

You all missed Angels flying to close to the ground, by Willie Nelson. Love this song. It brings back memories when my best friend, RIP, rode our motorcycles on long trips.
Sang the hell out of it. Great tune. Our female vocalist used to request it, when she did gigs with us. Not creepy, though, at all, in my book....

Tunes are a big part of movies IMO, you always knew something bad was about to happen just from the sound track.

Well, I don't know what they were thinking when the Beatles recorded "Run For Your Life" in 1965 (written by John):
Well, I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or I won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl

Well, you know that I'm a wicked guy
And I was born with a jealous mind
And I can't spend my whole life
Trying just to make you toe the line

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl

Let this be a sermon
I mean everything I've said
Baby, I'm determined
And I'd rather see you dead

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl

I'd rather see you dead, little girl
Than to be with another man
You better keep your head, little girl
Or you won't know where I am

You better run for your life if you can, little girl
Hide your head in the sand, little girl
Catch you with another man
That's the end, little girl

Wreck of the Ella Fitzgerald -- very funny, hope it's intentional (Edmund Fitzgerald)

Dead Skunk song by Loudon Wainwright
