Let's say that you've got a turkey wattle and you've got an extra $4000.00.....would you have the neck lift done ?

nope----i just let mine wattle---there are plenty of other things on me that needs repairing

Is it just a coincidence that this turkey waddle topic comes up the day after Thanksgiving?

My mom had a face lift before she was 50 and it turned out really good. At first it was scary because everything looked too tight. It didn't include her neck however.
Hers was fine.

I remember in my mid 20's when I went to visit my mom in the store she was working in, she told me later that her co-worker was envious of my neck. Lol Of course, I was in my 20's. Necks were that lady's obsession.

I would never get a face lift, not at this age. I think a good way to spoil the time in your latter years of life is too worry too much about how you look getting older. Although we do.

Having said all that, if I had a "turkey neck" as in the photo, yes, I'd want to fix it.

I wouldn't personally. But that's because I'm a solitary, surly curmudgeon and I don't particularly care about my looks (beyond the basics of dressing decently and not looking like a bum).

But if I were still in the business world or doing a lot of socializing? Then sure, why not. It's a pretty simple procedure. And in the pictures you posted, I think it made a pretty big difference in the appearance of the two guys. If you have some extra money to throw away...

It doesn't bother mama at all and she's against me having the surgery.....it does sorta bug me though so I'm still kinda kicking it around.

I wouldn't want surgery unless it was absolutely necessary, don't want to be cut into for vanity reasons. If I was disfigured in an accident and had the money to spend, I would consider plastic surgery to repair or normalize the damage.

Honestly, if I was the guy in the first photo, I'd want a refund, for $4,000 and all the hassle, I'd want my neck to be back to near perfect, that to me isn't good enough. I wouldn't even play with botox injections, from all the blown up upper lips I've seen on celebrity women, they looked so much better and more like themselves before that nonsense. If I was to do a lift, it would be neck over face, at least I'd still look like the same person, just older. Nothing wrong with getting old, like they say, better than the alternative. :eek:ld:

Boy, isn't that the truth?? What is it with the giant clown lips full of fillers??? I want to know who on earth decided that is a good look. Yikes.

I'm slowly talking myself out of it, while researching I saw pictures of the neck lift procedure and even found a video of one in progress (couldn't watch much of it YUK !) and they basically cut a big 'Z' in your neck, remove what's needed, pull stuff back together and then sew you back up.

Everybody heals differently and I've always tended to scar.....I think I'd rather have a turkey wattle than have a 'Z' shaped scar on my neck that makes me look like I pissed off Zorro.

When I first looked at the title I thought it was for turkey and waffles. But to the point, there is a show with two top plastic surgeons and on occasion they see someone that has had a stack of procedures to make them "appear" younger. One woman I recall had three ribs remove to make her waist appear smaller or to give an hour glass figure whichever it was. To me when you see skin stretched like a deer hide and lips as big as hot dogs it makes me puke. Those folks are freaks and I wonder if they avoid the mirror after Father Time gets serious.
