Turner Classic Movie airing 'Cocoon' tonight

Turner Classic Movie is airing one of my favorite movies,'Cocoon' '85 tonight at 8pm
I think the reason they are showing it, because of the recent death of great character actor,Brian Dennehy.He was part of the all star cast in this movie,Gwen Verdon,Don Ameche,Hume Cronyn,Jessica Tandy,Maureen Stapleton,Wilfred Brimley,Steve Guttenberg,Jack Gilford.Brian played one of the 'aliens',movie directed by Ron Howard.

Yes I loved that Movie. I'm not a person who has patience to sit through films so I only have a very few favourites, and even less those which I would watch more than once ( outside of Musicals)... but I"ve watched Cocoon 4 times... because I had a crush on Brian D....

I enjoyed seeing this movie again last night,its been awhile since I last saw it
A little known fact,director Ron Howard had cast his brother,Clint and their parents in small roles in some of the movies he directed.In this one,Clint plays the nursing home attendant who is asleep by the TV as the other residents sneak out.Their father,Rance was the official in the brown suit using the megaphone to call the boat back as Coast Guard cruiser is in pursuit
