Did someone just use a Tweet to scam Wall Street. Since the fiasco with Twitter someone used the blue “verified” check system to impersonate some companies making claims that drove their stock down. If these people had place short positions on these stock they would be making a killing.
If these impersonators knew what they were doing no one would be the wiser & it could be difficult to track them down. Yeah Wall Street would know who had short positions but they couldn’t really make a case unless they could be tied back to the tweet. I think a smart hacker could easily make an untraceable tweet.
