Twitter co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey says he is donating more than a quarter of his considerable wealth to help the fight against COVID-19. In a tweet Tuesday, Dorsey, who also founded and leads payment app company Square, said he is giving $1 billion in Square equity to the Start Small Foundation to aid global coronavirus relief efforts, the BBC reports.

I applaud him..........isn't it amazing how so many of the mega-rich seemed to have stepped off the planet just recently. ;)

I guess I'm a born cynic. The man has over $4 billion. It not like he's going be dumpster diving for scarps to eat, by giving away a billion or two. And I quite sure his "gift" benefits his income tax liability. I hear a lot of these billionaires setting up "foundations" for all kinds causes, but very little on what they actually spend their money on, if at all.
