Two Children Killed In School Shooting

Well since you brought up what names we call them, I always wonder why you and many others always call them "cowards." Murderous, heartless, evil, vile and many other negative adjectives would come to my mind before "cowardly," which isn't even that bad a thing. Shooter is a correct term and I certainly don't see anything mystical about it. He is the perpetrator of a crime and he was the person shooting the gun.

Although this mass-murderer is dead and isn't enjoying his fame, I agree with you. Several of the most recent school shooters have been fans of the previous ones. Robin Westman was obsessed with them.
They're cowards because many of them probably wanted to kill themselves and couldn't go through with it until after they committed such a heinous act there would be no comebacks.

Shooting unarmed victims by surprise is not a brave act. There's no honor in that. They are not a soldier or professional. They're is nothing unique or mysterious about them yet school 'shooters' some how wind up being somekind of counter culture hero which they are absolutely not. This phenomena(not school shootings per say) seem to start with the Columbine killers/murderers.

Of course it's not brave or honorable to murder people, no one ever said it was. It's not an intelligent act either but you don't yell "stupid" at them. They are much worse than that.

I just don't see these cruel murderers as cowardly. Perfectly nice people can be cowardly, to me it's a word suitable for the Cowardly Lion and Barney Fife, not anything to yell at a murderer. It's not a sin and nothing to be particularly ashamed of.

I think the opposite. Call them what they are. A killer or murderer. In this case Robin Westman is a child killer or Robin Westman is a cowardly pos child killer.

Using the term 'shooter' is only partially accurate and puts an aura or mystic around the heinous act along with making it seem like a game to these cowardly p'sos.

I have no problem with calling them what they are. We can do all this without giving their name.
Yes that was one thing the shooter of Australia's worst mass shooting said - he wanted to be famous as the biggest one in Australia.

The site where it occurred at Port Arthur has been made into a memorial garden and the plaque lists the victims by name but the shooter only as ' a crazed shooter' with no name.

to that end, i am deliberately not mentioning his name either.

Gun reforms were brought in after that, ( in 1996) and no such event has occurred here since

There was one a few years ago in New Zealand, in 2019. shooter was Australian but couldn't get the gun to do it here so he did so in NZ.
Within a month the NZ parliament voted 119 to 1 to implement gun reforms similar to Australia's

Maybe Im wrong but it seems there are more of these ever since the first one got all that publicity.

Well in a way he did enjoy his fame. He saw how much attention the other crazies got and he knew he would probably get the same.
He knew his name would be in the press. He would be discussed on line on facebook and in forums like this.

well in US, yes. but that gets back to inability to bring in gun reforms. In places like Australia and New Zealand there have been no more since the one that brought about the changes to gun laws

All the more reason not to repeat his name i n the press or social media. discuss him namelessly.

Yes I know he is dead - the Australian and NZ shooters are not, they are in prison - but publishing his name over and over shows other
wanna-be's how famous they will be
