Great Grandma. When we went to visit in another state. That was about the only time you could get me to sit still when there were all of those woods to explore.

No, Jazzy, but I used to plant and dig up her potatoes.... and I was a dab-hand at opening tins of peas too.

I've never shelled peas but I've snapped a lot of green beans when the crop came in and my mom was canning.

I picked corn with my grandma and helped her pickle beets. I still like corn, but don't want to look at beets again.

Yes, I shelled peas and shucked corn with my grandma. And when I got older I grew my own and shelled them (which is easy to do). Fresh grown peas are delicious!!
