TYSON chicken strips recall Attn: Aunt Bea

Tyson is a brand I really don't trust. That brand has a Huge presence in our area...with literally dozens of large chicken and turkey farms, and a large processing plant in Sedalia, MO. These farmers produce their birds in about 1/3rd the time that nature takes....with a diet consisting of large amounts of steroids and growth hormones. Then, if ICE were to ever visit the Tyson factory, a major share of that facilities employees would probably be detained or deported as illegal immigrants. If you go to the Sedalia Walmart in the evening or on weekends, you almost feel out of place by speaking English.

Given the "mass production" of these poultry products, I'm surprised that there aren't more recalls.

I have wondered about Tyson in the past, so thanks for that information Don.

I was surprised today when I received a robocall message from the PriceChopper grocery chain explaining the recent Tyson recall.

They must have done a telephone match with my recent purchases using the information collected when I use my shopper's club card.

I've never been crazy about Tyson chicken, something about it always seems a bit off. The meat is very fatty and has a different texture than Purdue or other store bought chicken.

On a side note, my work supplies Tyson (through a 3rd party) with a lot of their high pressure blowers they use to flash freeze their products when they roll out of the oven. We do a lot of work in the food industry regarding liquid nitrogen and flash freezing food products.
