I forgot to mention yesterday that the U.S. Marine Corpse celebrated their 248th anniversary on November 10. I hope I am still alive in 2 years for the 250th anniversary. I’m sure they will have a gala event planned and hopefully, it will be open to the public, or at least part of it will.
I remember when the Marines celebrated their 225th anniversary and the Marine and Navy bands both played on that day. It was a really nice day outside on that day and the celebration was very nice. After the celebration, we went over to Arlington and had a ceremony with taps being played there by both bands.
