Ugly or beautiful cookie jar?

Not ugly, not my style.

It reminds me of something from the ceramics craze of the 70s when people huddled in church basements painting molded ceramic pieces.

I still have a Christmas tree from that era.
I dated a gal who took ceramics classes. She made one of those Christmas trees and gave it to me. When we broke up, I asked her mom if she wanted it...you know, cuz it's something her daughter made...and she said, "Honey, I have three of those already. Please keep it." :p

I know the girl made other things, but dang, she sure had a thing for those trees.

Deb, are you sure that's not a candy dish at that size? There was a whole line of Mood Indigo. All kinds of items... mugs, butter dishes, kitchenware, candy dishes... even ashtrays. This Mood Indigo Owl's bidding on eBay is now at $75.

One of our daughters started working, part time, at an antique store a few weeks ago. We went over there a few days ago, and looked around. What a huge collection of Useless Stuff....10's of thousands of items....none of which we could see any use for.

At first glance it's kind of "huh?", but it grew on me after a while. It obviously makes a good conversation piece since it spurred a conversation here. Display it proudly!
