Uh-oh, another one? Man dies on bus in China from the Hantavirus.

I'm not going to get stressed about this.. we'll all die of anxiety at this rate and not Covid-19.

I\d never heard about it until I read about this the other day, but as most people aren't going to be drinking rat urine, I think we have enough on our plate to worry about right now... ..
I've heard of it, it's most prevalent here in the Southwest region, New Mexico mainly. All you have to do is breathe the dust from disturbed mouse droppings. It's kind of rare, though, I don't know a lot about it.

Yup, it has been here in New Mexico for years. Mostly up in the northern part of the state, but only one kind of mouse (deer mouse) spreads it and that mouse only lives in a certain environment, so it is fairly rare.

Every year we have one or two cases of bubonic plague also.

I had to look up the ''deer mouse'', and they are so cute! Yeah, I like rodents, too. Deer mice are 3.8 inches long.

Years ago when there was much reporting about the hantavirus I got all wrapped around the axle about it when I saw a mouse in my house (I get a couple of them just about every year when the weather starts to get cold). I talked to my regular exterminator service guy about it and he enlightened me about the fact that it's not the normal field mice that sometimes make their way into our homes here, but only that deer mouse. So I scraped myself off the ceiling and calmed down about the whole thing.

I think it’s in Utah as well, got to spray the droppings first then clean them up. Yes, deer mice, but not dear mice. 😂
