UK; Electronic Navigation Not Updated. Ambulances Slow To Find Patient Who Died

An electronic navigation system called satnav used by ambulances in the UK hasn't been updated since 2012. They struggled to find a patient more than tripling their projected 8 minute arrival time at 27 minutes. The patient a bicyclist was at the Olympic Village velodrome.

I can't believe they don't have a paper map back up or access to alternate system or internet.

I find this difficult to believe, and I've not seen such reports myself.

The London Ambulance Service is notoriously incompetent and always looking to blame somebody else.

I have four UK sat nav systems on my mobile (cellphone) plus one built into the car. All of them are updated automatically at least monthly.
